4. A14

Staring into tarmac's asphalt shades,
A lighter pitch of darkness breached the eternal haze.
The sky contained a shrouded cloud and a polluted sun,
A darker gray breaking through a lighter one.

Ablaze with tension after repeated failed ascension
Tapping on the door whilst beeping with the horn
Steering around my mind leaving the motorway behind
Staring into the sun until my single eye was blind.

Weaving traffic like a savage with death wish,
Scraping wing mirrors, bumpers and now a near miss.
Electrifying adrenaline in which the mind swims,
Sparks flying from darker grey metal grinding.
