Guardian

Seeds crackle and unfold in the sockets,
Now through stone eyes the shoots develop.
Little saplings make the buddha weep like rain,
Vines grow like veins within the statue's brain.

Set back in a forest
Within deep dewy glenns,
Trickling from the waterfall
A spirit twists and blends.

Ivy crawls through nostrils,
Hanging from the forehead,
Hanging from the mouth,
Seed by seed the within does sprout.
"Embalm me" the stone goddess shouts.

Wet lipped and succumbed to the dew,
A moist forests respiratory,
A dense forest is loose.
